Last Kiss

"I'm not going to live long, Michelle." Said Archer his voice barely a whisper. As I look around the room I could hear the machines beeping, his slow breathing, the people walking back and forth inot different rooms. The IV in his arm, the hospital bed, it all seems so real. Just seeing him in pain makes me want to just make it all go away with a single kiss. "Why would you say that?" I said tears threatening to cascade down my face. "Everyone knows, Michelle. I'm dying... Just listen to me; If I die you have to move on. Please... just do this for me." He said opening his eyes eyes. Those beautiful green eyes that made my heart skip a beat. "I- I could never replace you , Archer. I-I can't." I said with tears falling like raindrops in a bad storm, holding his hand tightly staring into his eyes. I could tell he was done fighting. "Yes you can, Michelle. I believe in you. I know you love me, but you have to let me go." He said trying not to sound weak. "Let's make our time last. I love you, Archer." I said kissing him on the cheek. As the door opened I saw Dr. Stalone come in his face surrounded with tears and hair matted down. At that point I knew I was going to hate the results. He handed me a folder and walked out. I opened the folder to read the results. I was speechless. I just didn't know what to think or say. To cry and scream at the top of my lungs cursing god or to just run away from the pain. "Michelle, what does it say?" He asked "Lung cancer, It's back." I said my voice barely a whisper. Falling into his lap crying like the world was coming to end and end. But it was my true love is dying. 1 Year Later "Were here in rememberance of Archer stone in his passing. Does anyone have anything to say about Archer or story's about him?" Asked the Pastor. "I do, PAstor." I said as I stood up with not a single tear in my eyes. All of my tears have vanished. "Archer, was my first and last love. He was my best friend and my last kiss. We'd been married for 3 years and now he's gone. Archer, I love you and Iwill never forget you. Happy Birthday, Baby." I said as I kissed the casket and walked out of the church on my way to the hospital to give birth to Archer Stone Jr. The End.
